family

The family is and should be the fundamental unit in society. Families should be strengthened. Marriage and having children should be encouraged whenever possible. Several factors can be addressed to encourage family growth, such as housing affordability, grocery prices, education and service. Foster and adoption can be improved to encourage more support for the children needing families, which will help negate the the perceived need of more drastic options. Life should be protected and treated as sacred.

government roles
Each branch of government has their constitutional roles and should not try to usurp the power from another branch of government. Judges should not legislate from the bench. Further, government should operate within their sphere of influence. Government should be close to the people and absolutely be held accountable by the people they represent. Local government should have control over issues of a local nature. State government should have control over items that affect the whole state or large portions thereof. As a representative I will focus on issues within the influence of the legislature.
